Arcadia's Santa Anita Racetrack was the Holy Grail of all local gigs— coveted by upcoming bands because the setting was amazing and the pay was great.

The Sneaks landed this engagement in March of 1982 and it turned out to be one of Santa Anita's top-drawing shows in their short-lived concert series (which usually featured acts of greater renown).

Here, Rob and Brett get airborne, and below, a smiling security officer hauls away an errant dancer.

Here's a rare juxtaposition of the band pre and post "haircut." These pictures were taken by Jorge Mena, Jr., band friend, photographer and confidant.

The 1981 shots were taken at Pookies in Pasadena, California. The 1982 shots were taken at an Orange County, California gig, specific location forgotten to time.
